ABOUT US

1849.

“They want to take our territory”.

10 days of war.
And as a lioness protects hers, the warriors of Brescia protected everyone.
Tireless until the last moment.
Outnumbered, defeat was inevitable.
But they were honorable.
They fought bravely.
And they won a title:
“La Leonessa d’Italia”
Strong.
Courageous.
Millimetrically calculated attack.
We learn from history.
We will defend our own, just as lionesses do.
And this time it will be different.
Now we are...

PREPARED TO WIN!

BRESCIA, PREPARED FOR VICTORY.

FOR VICTORY

BRESCIA

The name was born from a historical context in the Italian city of Brescia.

The Resistance of Brescia against Austrian domination in 1849 was a landmark in history, lasting for a period of ten days.

The Ten Days of Brescia (Italian: Dieci giornate di Brescia) was an uprising that erupted in the city of Brescia, located in northern Italy. The revolt lasted from March 23 to April 1, 1849, resulting in the capitulation of Brescia.

At the beginning of the 19th century, Brescia was a mere subject of the Austrian Empire, along with the rest of the Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia. The revolt was led by the patriot Tito Speri.

The Austrian troops, led by General Nugent, were initially surprised and withdrew to the castle, from where they heavily bombarded the city, damaging many of Brescia's historical monuments. The total siege of Brescia was established by the Austrians only from the 8th day of the revolt when reinforcements arrived. The next day, General Haynau, later nicknamed "The Hyena of Brescia," arrived and demanded the unconditional surrender of the insurgents. As they refused, the battle continued until late at night when the leaders of the revolt decided to surrender. However, on the following day (April 1), the Austrian troops looted and massacred a large number of the city's inhabitants before the surrender could be formally signed.

Approximately 1,000 citizens were killed during the battle. For its brave and great resistance, the city of Brescia gained the nickname of Leonessa d'Italia (Lioness of Italy).

Gardone Val Trompia:
Gunsmith tradition in Brescia

Gardone Val Trompia, a valley in the Brescia region with around 10,000 inhabitants, is the Italian, European, and global capital of firearms, producing 70% of small arms used for sport and hunting in the EU, and 40% used worldwide.

The strong gunsmith tradition of the valley known as the "Valley of Firearms" and the history of struggle of the people of Brescia inspired the creation of the Brescia brand.
